The Apollo DHW110 is a space-saving combination tank that integrates both DHW (domestic hot water) and the buffer tank into a single unit. Designed for exceptional durability and efficiency, this unit is ideal for residential or commercial applications. The Apollo DHW110 is built to deliver reliable performance and is compatible with a Hydro Smart system or, alternatively, a plate heat exchanger (PHE) for optimal functionality.
The buffer tank is a critical component for the proper operation of a hydronic heat pump system. During very low or no-load conditions, the buffer tank provides the necessary time for the heat pump to react and shut down properly, preventing temperature spikes. In winter, it also assists in the defrost cycle.
The DHW tank functions as an indirect domestic water heater, using a boiler or heat pump to heat the water. The tank is designed without an internal coil, ensuring compatibility with external heat exchange systems such as a Hydro Smart system or a plate heat exchanger.
