Warranty

All units sold by MBTEK are subject to the warranty terms and conditions set out below.

Claims and Replacement Parts

  1. Each claim for replacement parts must be submitted with proof of the broken or defective element, including videos and pictures.
  2. Claim files may take up to three (3) business days to process. If the product is not in stock, a lead time will be provided.
  3. Shipping fees still apply for replacement parts.
  4. If the product is out of warranty, or if the warranty has been voided, the customer must place an order and pay full price for the required parts.
  5. Duties are not included in shipping charges and may vary depending on the delivery location.

Warranty Coverage

This warranty covers defects in materials, defects in workmanship under normal use, and faulty components under normal use.

For warranty issues, the customer must submit video evidence for review to support@mbtek.com. All claims are reviewed by the MBTEK Tech Support Department, and a response will be issued within ten (10) working days of the original filing.

If a claim is approved, MBTEK may provide replacement parts using new or replacement components. If parts cannot reasonably resolve the issue, the product may be exchanged for a new product. Depending on the nature of the issue and repair required, the product may also be fully or partially refunded.

Standard Warranty Period

The warranty period starts from the delivery confirmation date.

Solid Fuel Boilers

Welds: 10-year protection
Parts: 1-year protection

Disclaimer: Solid fuel boilers must be installed with a Boiler Station or Boiler Protection Valve. Failure to comply will void the warranty on welds.

Heat Pumps

Compressor: 5-year protection
Parts: 1-year protection

Disclaimer: A minimum of 45% and maximum of 55% propylene glycol must be used. Failure to comply will void the warranty on heat pumps.

Warranty Extension

Warranty extensions may be available for purchase at the time of order for most products. Please contact a sales agent for more information about extending the warranty period for your unit.

Buyer's Obligations

If a product is defective, the customer may be entitled to repair or replacement, subject to warranty review and approval.

  • The customer must follow all troubleshooting steps provided by MBTEK Tech Support.
  • If the issue continues, the customer must provide sufficient video evidence showing that the defect is related to manufacturing or faulty parts.
  • If the customer fails to provide proof and a repair service is arranged on the customer's behalf for diagnosis, an administrative fee equal to 10% of the total repair service cost may be charged. This amount may be refunded if the issue is later confirmed to be covered under warranty.
  • If a repair service determines that the issue is unrelated to a manufacturing defect or faulty part, the service cost will not be covered by the warranty and will be billed to the customer.

What Is Not Covered

  • Damage resulting from negligence
  • Damage resulting from unauthorized modification
  • Damage resulting from poor or incorrect installation
  • Damage caused by natural disasters or force majeure events
  • Theft or loss of the product

Installation and Labor Costs

Unless expressly stated in a written quote, invoice, or agreement issued by MBTEK, product warranty coverage does not include installation, labor, permits, electrical work, plumbing work, hydronic setup, commissioning, diagnostics, removal, reinstallation, maintenance, or any other related service costs.

Customers are responsible for selecting, hiring, coordinating, and paying any installer, contractor, technician, electrician, plumber, or other service provider required for the installation, maintenance, diagnosis, repair, or use of products purchased from MBTEK.

Any installers, contractors, technicians, or service providers listed, referred, suggested, or made available through MBTEK are independent third parties and are not employees, agents, representatives, subcontractors, or partners of MBTEK unless expressly stated in writing.
