The APOLLO Pressure Relief Valve 3/4" opens at 40 psi. The relief pressure rating optimize pump performance for system to keep above 15psi while accommodating pressure variations without false opening. The 40 psi relief also protect lower pressure rating equipment, such as boilers. For the majority of gas and wood boiler 50 psi is above the maximum operating pressure and 30 psi rating usually lead to false opening of relief or initial operating pressure below 15 psi which is not ideal for proper pump operation.
