The Heat Pump is impressively quiet; I can hold a full conversation while standing just three feet away from it. Because it’s a DC inverter unit, there are no hard starts—it just ramps up smoothly from a few watts. It even handled outdoor temperatures in the single digits without any issues.
Heats my home nicely and economically. The cold weather does not seem to affect the pump. Overall I'm very happy with the system. The techs have been very helpful whenever I have had questions regarding installation, etc.
I recently got my new Apollo 5-ton air-to-water heat pump installed, and it came out real nice. It's real nice and has a real nice look to it. I am very impressed with the finish of this unit; everything's neat, everything's dressed, it's all clean, painted, airtight, and dry. It's also very quiet. The old unit used to sound like a rocket ship, and this unit is very quiet. I'm very happy with my unit so far. We've gotten down into the 30s, and this thing has no problem keeping up so far. I've noticed the air is hotter, so it doesn't come on for as long, and I'm thinking this is probably making a little hotter water, which is nice.
I purchased a six-ton air-to-water heat pump about three months ago and have been using it this winter. It is doing a great job with the heating system. It complements my existing solar hot water system and gas boiler system. The heat pump does a great job producing the hot water I need for my radiant heat and fan coils. When the unit is running, it is very, very quiet. I can see all the operating parameters on the digital display and through the Wi-Fi app that comes with the unit, which allows me to make any adjustments I need. I look forward to using the unit for summer cooling this year.
